We need YOUR HELP to save lives in our community
Here in Virginia Beach, we are proud to have the largest volunteer-based EMS system in the nation. Our dedicated members give more than 600 hours of their time each year responding to calls for help and staying up-to-date on the latest medical advancements. They also spend time raising money because we are responsible for funding the purchase of all our uniforms and equipment, including stretchers, medical supplies, and even the ambulances themselves.
While pre-hospital emergency care is ABSOLUTELY FREE in Virginia Beach, the advanced life-saving equipment needed is expensive.
- One advanced ambulance...............$300,000
- One Power Loaded and stretcher....$63,000
- One LifePak defibrillator...................$35,000
- One stair chair..................................$4,500
- One scooper stretcher......................$1,200
- One portable oxygen cylinder...........$115
- One crew with two certified EMTs.....FREE
With your support, our Squad can purchase the life-saving equipment and supplies needed to answer every cry for help.
